About our School and Operations
Shreyas Vidyalaya High School was established in 1971 for grades 8 to 10. Science stream for grades 11 and 12 was started in 2009. There is no other public high school in entire Shinor taluka that teaches science for grades 11 and 12. Private schools are expensive. They are not affordable for students of our rural farm worker communities. Our school provides free education without charging any fees or expenses to students and parents. The school also provides free uniforms, books, notebooks, and other study material. Students come to our school from all surrounding villages. Transportation allowance is given to students who need it.
Students also receive guidance for colleges after they finish 12th Science. Limited financial support is provided to students who may need it.
Subjects like Sanskrit, Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, and Agriculture are taught in 9th and 10th. Higher Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, and Computer science are taught in 11th and 12th science. Most of our students cannot afford private tuition. Our teachers teach with full dedication.
Teacher Hiring based on Merit, Not Money
Our teachers are hired strictly on academic merits. Teachers are not hired through any monetary transactions (donations, good will or bribes) to trustees, teachers, or any intermediary. It will not be based solely on the results of the TET examination. Before hiring, each teacher must present his/her mark sheets from all years of SSC, HSC, or college. Hiring is done only after review of these credentials by our review committee.

About Awakhal
Awakhal is a large village in the Shinor taluka, with a population of about 3,200 people. Nearly half of the population is Patel Farmers, and the rest is from service people, farm workers, or people from SC, ST, or OBC families. The village atmosphere is very peaceful, with no disputes or crime, making it a very safe place. Many Patels from the village have settled in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. It is a good community.
There are empty houses available for rent, with monthly rates ranging from approximately ₹1,500 to ₹3,000. The village roads are concreted, and houses have access to pipe water and sanitation facilities. Waste is regularly cleared from the streets.
People of Awakhal are very cooperative and community minded. Cordial familial social atmosphere is evident throughout the village. There are grocery and vegetable shops, as well as stores selling grains and spices. Services for installing RO systems, coolers, air conditioners, and more are also available. The village has many two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. Fuel stations are located nearby in Sadhli and Segva. There are restaurants in Sadhli, about 4 km south and Segva to the east.
